ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSE AND HOLYDAY TO THE BEACH

L'Acanto in Summertime…

From Mesagne to get to the nearest and best beaches on both of Puglia's incredible coasts takes just 15 minutes to the Adriatic and 40 minutes to the Ionian coast.

Why not take advantage of a study holiday on the beach? Usually in summer, the students at the School decide to go to the beach after their lessons, and spend the rest of the day relaxing there.

L'Acanto offer...

L'Acanto offers students a week-long holiday hosted by a lovely family in their holiday house by the seaside.

Sample of a typical day…

On your arrival we will welcome you at the airport and then take you to your place of stay. Straight away you can relax and enjoy your free time. Once you've arrived at your new 'holiday house', you will start your Puglian lifestyle.

Wake up in the morning and start your day with a delicious fresh breakfast. After a good coffee, you'll be ready to take your Italian lesson for an hour and a half with your Italian teacher. At the end of the lesson, you will already be wearing the right sandals and your bag ready with a beach towel and your sun cream. Then you can make you way to the beach by either walking, cycling or in a splendid Fiat 500 car!! Finally, a fantastic swim, or laying on the beach sunbathing like a lizard (the typical expression we use in Italian!), or more comfortably under the parasol reading the newspaper or your favourite book.

After an afternoon spent on the beach you can watch a spectacular sunset over the Mediterranean sea before returning to your family to join them for dinner together outside on the veranda. After a homemade pizza baked in their wooden oven, or a fresh roasted fish, if you still have the energy, you shouldn't miss the traditional Salento and experience the local music and traditional dances. The Pizzica Salentina, the local dance, is the typical dance of the region and its people.

After a full and exciting day you'll be glad of your comfortable bed and good night's rest ready to start a new brand day fully refreshed!

The cost of l'Acanto week-long study holiday to the beach is € 625.

It includes

• - Italian language course, 7 hours of tuition, from Monday to Friday. No weekends
• - Two tours to a couple of local places of interest
